Do you? 2016XXXX.
I remember a world,
When not everybody was fragile
Though everything did hurt us
We were up again in a while.
We didn’t care for things little like love
Or hate, judgment or prejudice.
We were careless and kidding
Our reward was only joy.
When not every step we took
Was towards a great future
Or away from another friend
As our hearts grew mute further.
I remember a world
When I lived not for myself
Nor for the next day
Nor for the next year.
I lived for those around me
In their joy, I found myself.
If we were kids, the world surrounding
Would be a happy playground, still.
