Regression. 2016XXXX.
I should have plucked happiness
Out from everyday
Like cherry blossoms and white roses
From under Eden's care,
Trapped them in glass covers
Just as you had said.
I should have made a habit
To garden all the seeds,
Chased away the hares and rabbits
That harm the garden green
And named each and every flower
For the color of their seed,
And when the year would be done
Our time together elapsed
I would have proof to shoulder.
Your colors of happiness,
In the jar, would perhaps
Warm the colder heart of regrets.
And save us from ourselves.
