Are you asleep? 20190520.
I watch the city blocks sleep
The fruit bat's yawn end in a sigh
A few trees are yet not quite
But prepare to bid goodbye
The stars are already high beyond reach
To stay undisturbed underneath a dark sky.
But what of those who cannot sleep
Within long and lonely hours
Too accustomed and dependent
On a comfort sourced afar
I bet they need a company
More than a dim lamp jar.
