A misspelled appology. 2016XXXX.
See I want to say, I miss you,
But I know words won't bring it right,
So I delay it to actions,
But forget ‘bout it by midnight.
Until the undead memories,
Haunt me out of busy hours
When some random smiling faces
With a sting remind me of ours.
But by then the long silence has strengthened
And I fear to break it, for fear of breaking it all
And know it to be a mistake,
But I wouldn't risk another fall.
And now when even words fail me
As I fail us even more.
Under this endless sea of silence
My voice is drowning furthermore.
But I miss you.
And this need too is ever strong.
What I don't really see is,
The more I'm waiting, the more I'm wrong.
So let this be me reminding myself
To never be as foolish hereon.
Baby, past midnight, I'll tell you,
How I've missed you, for so long!
