Luckily we have a counterpart of us

Of the prerequisite of all intellect;

The central core of our brilliant minds,

Locked out and lost, of our modern heads.

We need it primarily

When our world is much to take

Alone, in absence of its company

we question if we made a mistake.

In giving up this part of us

We traded for our precious thoughts

Which we seek often, so desperately

Now in the companionship of our beloved dogs.
