I will not claim, I have known love. 20180905.
I found the happiest flower
Abandoned on a sidewalk
Afraid it might be lost to the uncaring hour
I locked her inside an old book.
It has been there for some ages, now
I'm afraid I have sinned.
Mistaken her hell for
A heaven, she wouldn't have been in.
Were it not for the human mind
With claims to know what it loves,
Dead bones would be as they should be
Decaying for the earth,
Not framed and trapped in an eternal scheme
As a ghost of love
And there would be one poor soul less,
Haunted by his own curse.
