So don't look at me. 20171209.

I don't think you wanted to be a moth with wings.

We were good as worms looking

For our chrysalis, free of sins,

Eating dreams and innocent, little things.

Until we learned of the world.

We had no need to fly, no need to win,

No desire to take the one time only chance to change

And lose ourselves, in the name of sacrifice and growth.

Be better and worse and not just good.

Be someone else.

A moth, stern, winged, strong and understanding

What she was now, and was not.
